These amalgamated in 1974 to become Age Concern Cleveland, which then became Age Concern Teesside in 1996. Age Concern Teesside is a registered charity and became a company without shares limited by guarantee in 1987. Our wholly owned trading subsidiary, Age Concern Teesside Trading Ltd, commenced operations in 1991 offering a variety of insurance products and all profits are covenanted to Age Concern Teesside. How can we help you?The services that Age Concern Teesside offer have grown from social 'pop-in' centres and home visiting schemes to include contracted social day care services, advice and information, insurance services, social activities, computer training for 'silver surfers' and signposting to other voluntary agencies that may offer services of interest to those aged over 50. How are our services funded?The services that Age Concern Teesside provide are funded by a wide variety of means; fees for services contracted by Statutory Bodies, grants, donations, legacies, fund raising activities, charity shop revenues and commissions from the sale of insurance products tailored to the needs of older people.
